Botanic Art

It all started with a summer at my parents’ house. The house is located outside the city of Iasi in Romania and it has a lovely and wild garden. All sorts of plants and animals inhabit the place. Being surrounded by all these amazing natural materials, I felt inspired to do something with them. I set out to create a series of characters made out of natural materials.
The process to create them was quite dynamic. Parts of the design were sketched and planned. Others emerged surprisingly by experimenting with the available materials in the garden.
